I'll handle the location, the posing guidance, the outfit suggestions, and the chaos wrangling - so you can focus on the only thing that matters: being together. No forced poses. I show up to every family session with one goal: get you out of your head and into the moment. That means outfit guidance before you even get there, location scouting done in advance, and a session day that feels more like an adventure than a photoshoot.
If your toddler melts down, we roll with it. If your teenager refuses to smile, I have tricks for that. If your partner hasn't wanted their photo taken since 2011, I promise to change their mind. This is what I do - and I genuinely love doing it.
Family sessions are photographed on location, and I travel throughout Northern California- including Sacramento, Roseville, Chico, Folsom, Marysville, Rocklin, and beyond. If you're outside the Yuba City area, reach out and let's find the perfect location for your family.
Being based in Yuba City means some of Northern California's best family session backdrops are in my backyard. The Sutter Buttes glow gold at sunset like nowhere else in the valley, the Feather River bottoms give us water, trees, and dreamy evening light, and every spring the blossom orchards turn into a pink-and-white dream for family photos. Add in rustic barns, open farmland, and historic downtown Marysville, and there's a setting for every family's style. And while home base is Yuba City, I photograph families across the Greater Sacramento area - from Sacramento and Roseville to Chico and beyond.

This is the fun part. I'll guide the whole thing - from where to stand to how to get genuine laughs out of your kids. You don't need to do anything except show up and enjoy your family. I'll take it from there.
Gallery Reveal
About a week after your session, we'll meet virtually to see your gallery together. You'll choose your favorite images and select the prints, albums, and wall art that are going in your home.
Your Artwork Arrives
Your digital images arrive first. Framed prints, albums, and wall art follow in 4–6 weeks - real, tangible artwork that belongs on your walls, not just in a folder on your phone.
I've photographed a lot of families through every season - newborns who are now running, toddlers who are now in school, kids who are now seniors. That's the part of this job I love most.
