Before I picked up a camera professionally, I spent years in law enforcement. I've seen what it means to lose things, memories, moments, people, without warning. That changes how you see time.
When I became a mom, something clicked. I understood in a completely new way why photographs matter. Not as decoration, and definitely not as files on a hard drive. As proof. Proof that this was real. That your family existed exactly like this, right now, in this season of life that will be over before you're ready.
