As a full-service newborn photographer, I provide all the props and everything needed for the newborn session, with the exception of the baby of course. My studio is packed floor to ceiling with props for us to choose from. Together the parents and I plan the session. I walk my clients through the process and we will select items that suit your style and taste the best. Through our conversations, I’m able to get a feel for what they are looking for. While I have everything we need for the session, I always let my clients know that if they have something they want to bring they are more than welcome to.
Finding A Special Prop From Home
Finding a special prop from home to incorporate into your newborn session doesn’t have to be hard. Consider including something that is meaningful or significant to you or your family, like a grandparent’s heirloom or a favorite book, blanket, baby toy, or even piece of clothing. Or, if you are artistic and crafty, why not create your own unique prop specifically for the shoot? Rocklin Newborn Photographer can help you find just the right item to make this photoshoot extra special and create a cherished memory for years to come.
It’s not uncommon for great-grandma to make the baby a quilt, or maybe there’s a stuffed animal that’s been passed down for generations or a tiny necklace that was gifted to the baby. Those are significant memories we want to document. BRING THEM IN! When bringing in items from home I always tell parents to select things with significant meaning. This will make that piece of art we create even more important and special to you. Sometimes our favorite images from the session are the ones with the most sentimental meanings behind them!
Discuss Any Desired Poses With Your Photographer
It’s important to discuss with your photographer any desired poses for the shoot prior to your newborn session. Although there may be some spontaneous moments during the session, it helps to have an idea of the types of shots you would like and require some advance preparation from your photographer.
