Happy New Year Year from Rocklin Photographer, Megan Escheman Photography. Hello, 2023!!! It sounds so incredibly crazy to say that! I mean I instantly feel old, and it also makes me realize that this year marks my 20-year reunion from high school. How is that even possible? Ok, now I feel even older!
Time flies by. I can’t tell you how many times I used to hear that in my pre-parenting stages of life and I’d just look at people and be like yeah ok! Once I became a mom, I saw firsthand just how fast time flies. How quickly each milestone comes and goes.
I always find myself holding on to memories from when my kids were little. I often pull out my phone and take a trip down memory lane through the albums. It always ends with tears. Happy ones of course, but still, it tugs at those heartstrings and once again makes me realize just how fast time goes by.
Each year as I update the portraits on my walls I’m taken aback by just how fast time has gone by.
2022 brought its share of heartache and loss, but there was also lots of laughter, travels, and unforgettable memories. We welcomed our first grandchild into this world, and boy has that been an experience! I love that little girl! 2022 had some great things in store for both me personally and for Megan Escheman Photography, but 2023 is going to blow it out of the water! Investing in myself, personal development, health goals, and the future of MEP!
I’m being very intentional this year about removing things that no longer fulfill me or bring me joy. I’m focusing on filling my cup. Because the truth is, we can’t pour from an empty cup. I can’t be creative and unique for my clients if I’m not personally where I need to be. My creativity is what makes my business what it is. My personality and my passion are core components, so it’s crucial that I focus on personal development just as much if not more than business development.
I’m always growing as an entrepreneur. Constantly looking for ways to improve the client experience for my customers. 2023 will be no different! There are sure to be great things in store for you to all love!
I can’t wait to meet all the new families with precious little babies that will come into the studio this next year. Celebrate first birthdays with new babes, as well as those I had the pleasure of photographing as newborns. Laughing with families, and documenting memorable milestones for everyone.
I look forward to 2023 and I can’t wait to share it with you all!
