San Diego Family Vacation

For Spring Break we took a Family Vacation to San Diego, Ca. It’s been a while since we’ve been there, and we had a blast. I always feel like I never have enough time on vacation no matter how long the trip ends up being. There are so many things to do, and never enough time.
My husband is always giving me a hard time because I often forget to bring my camera on family trips. Therefore, 90% of our vacation photos are with my cell phone, or just not at all. I get so caught up in the moment soaking in the memories that I forget to pull out my camera! I know I’m not the only one who does this right?!?! And it’s even worse I do this considering photography is my profession!
I’ve really been having all the feelings lately with our kids growing up. It happens so fast. This year we have one having a baby, Yes, I’m going to be a MiMi (I refused to be called a grandma haha!), one graduating high school, and one promoting from 8th grade! It’s definitely a year full of emotions, and it’s all happening way too fast!
I had one specific vision in mind of a photo I wanted to document on the trip. I wanted to get a silhouette image of my son with his skimboard. Then my husband had a special request for a sunset photo for his office. I’m so in love with them!
On this Sand Diego Family Vacatioin, I didn’t forget my camera!!! Yay me!!! While I didn’t take it with me everywhere we went, thank goodness I had my cell phone for the rest of the time, I did manage to pull it out and get some fun memories captured!
We had a blast hanging out on Mission Beach. Playing volleyball, skimboarding, burring each other in the sand, and just soaking up the sun! I cant’ wait to go back and explore more, and catch up with a few friends down there that I wasn’t able to meet up with this time.
I’m not sure where our next family trip will take us, probably camping, so keep an eye out for some fun photos of that trip!
