Tabor College Graduate…  I can’t even begin to describe how incredibly proud I am of this young lady!  Watching her grow as a softball play through the years of coaching her has turned into one of the most rewarding things in my life.  At times, this girl came to me with defeat in her eyes and broken confidence, but she never gave up.  She pushed herself to be the best version of her that she could be.  She rose above the struggles and set out to be successful.

We spent countless hours together in the freezing cold and blistering heat.  There were many times when sometimes, we just needed to sit down and talk.  I knew this girl was something special.  I knew she had the heart to get herself where she wanted to be.

I was sad when she chose to go to Feather River Community College instead of playing for me at Yuba, but I understood why and I supported her 100%.  I was beyond proud when she called and told me that she would be going to Tabor College to continue to play ball.  Even while she was away at college she’d come and see me when she came home.  We’d cram in as many pitching lessons as we could and fix and fine tune what we needed to.  We spent hours texting back and forth while she was away.  Emily, I’m so proud of you!  You’ve accomplished your goals, and you continue to do so!  Keep your head high and your standards higher!  You’re an amazing person and I’m glad that I can not only be your coach, but now I can be your friend!  I love you kiddo!
