Meet This Cutie | Yuba City Fresh 48 Photographer

Yuba City Fresh 48 Photographer… If you follow along and actually pay attention and read my blogs, then you know that I recently became a MiMi!!! Crazy right?!?!?! At first, I kept saying, I’m way too young to be a grandma, so I said “I’m just married to a grandpa!” Then I realized that probably made my husband sound like a total creeper lol. Truth is… I’m soaking up all the snuggles from this adorable cutie!!!!

Our oldest daughter and her husband welcomed into the world little miss Emmalynn on May 19. The first few weeks of her life have been super eventful. I didn’t know what sort of emotions I was going to have when I became a MiMi. Honestly, I think I just refused to think about it until it was actually happening. As our daughter was texting us updates as she went to the hospital and went through labor, I couldn’t control my emotions. When we got the text that we were able to go to the hospital and meet her, I grabbed my camera bag and ran out the door! Then I realized that I probably should ask if she even wanted me to take photos yet. As we walked down the hallway to their room the emotions came over me again. Here I go getting all soft in my old age. I don’t think there’s ever a way to really emotionally prepare for this moment.

Seeing my daughter as a mom, no words can express that feeling. She’s wanted and prayed for this moment for so long, and seeing her dreams come true tugs on your heartstrings a little, ok A LOT. My husband and I spent quite a while on that first visit, probably longer than we were welcomed, but what the heck, this moment only happens once right?!?! Thanks, Tori for not kicking us out and letting us love on this little girl for so long. It was so nice being there in that moment and snuggling on our little granddaughter for the first time.

As a Yuba City Fresh 48 Photographer, I did snag a few photos, and I’m so glad I did. These are the moments that pass by all too fast. Those first few days after you become a mom are all a blur. The newness of your little one, their tiny features, it all changes so fast. I’m so glad that I was able to document this moment for my daughter and her new little family!
