This adorable little trio had their fall family photos captured in the beauty of this rustic bridge. I love this location for various reasons, but I think with just a glance you’ll have a good idea why. It’s beautiful! This family chose to have their first family portraits taken with me! And what better time of year to get fall family photos?!?!
On my drive to this session, I remember chatting on the phone with a photographer friend of mine, talking about the craziness that fall family photos bring to the season. We are both mama’s and mama’s to kids who play fall sports (ok all sports but still you get my point). As the daylight slowly becomes a little bit shorter we are constantly finding ourselves staying up just a little bit later to get some last-minute work done. The juggling between playing mom, uber driver to practices and games, wife, and photographer during one of our busiest times of years can definitely be a handful. But do you want to know what makes it all worthwhile???
The genuine smiles on my client’s faces when they see their images for the very first time! Knowing that I’m creating beautiful artwork for them to display in their homes, but also, knowing that I’ve helped them create memories that are going to last them a lifetime. I want each and every client to look through their photos year after year and remember that season of life they were in. That infant that relied on them for everything, their toddler with growing independence, the teenager that knew everything but still wanted their mama to make them Mac n Cheese. Each season of life that we go through has something memorable worth documenting. Our children grow up way too fast and any mama in the world can tell you that. Freezing every moment in time that you possibly can, so you can hang onto it just a little bit longer. That’s what I love about my job!
This family had never had their photos taken as a family. I’ll give them a break because their little cutie was only six months old, so they really didn’t wait all that long. But I was honored to document their fall family photos for them. The genuine joy of life just beamed from all three of them. We laughed, had fun, and even documented their little cutie pie sitting on her own for the first time!
We don’t need a specific time of year, or a certain season in life to document our family. We just need to take a moment and realize the importance of these memories. You don’t have to wait for fall family photos, we can create these memories for you any time of the year!
