An Outdoor Senior Portrait Session in Colusa, CA
As I sit here and look at the long list of client sessions I haven’t blogged I could easily become overwhelmed. There are so many things that go into running a business. Being a one-woman show means I wear A LOT of different hats. Add on being a wife, mom, and whatever else gets thrown at me and well, you can see why things start to pile up in the blogging department. Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing all these beautiful sessions with you all.
First up we have Chase with an outdoor senior portrait session in Colusa, CA. A 2022 graduate of Colusa High School who spends his spare time hanging with his dog, hunting, and trap shooting. Ok, that totally started to sound like a dating website ad haha!! But anyhow… This guy pretty much loves all things outdoors and adventurous!
I’ve been blessed to get to know him fairly well over this past year since he’s been dating our daughter, and he truly is a fantastic young man. When his mom called me and asked me to take his senior portraits I was beyond honored! It’s one thing to get random strangers calling you wanting to book you, but it’s another to have someone you know call you up and entrust you with such a precious moment. It’s touching, and I’m truly thankful.
When I met with these clients for their consultation, they knew exactly where they wanted to have their photos taken. They described the property to me and my mind instantly started working. I knew exactly what I was wanting to capture for this session. It always makes things a little more special when you have a personal connection to the location as well.
Senior Portrait Sessions are meant to be personalized to highlight your graduate. Focusing on their interests, their personality, and well, them! As a mom, I know how special these memories are. This moment signifies more than just your child graduating. They are leaving the safe nest that you’ve built for them, spreading their wings, and soaring into great things.
When Chase’s parents and I sat down at their gallery reveal and we started the slideshow I wish I would have captured his parent’s reaction. Excited and proud are the words that come to mind to describe them. As we went through their gallery we had lots of laughs and loved pointing out the little bits of his personality that we were able to capture. I feel like because Chase knows me, he was able to be a bit more comfortable in front of the camera and we were able to document his true personality while we had a little fun. A huge thank you to the Carrere family for entrusting me with these memories! I can’t wait till the next one! This was such a fun senior portrait session in Colusa, CA.
